MSC Fantasia Christened in Naples

Fairfax, VA - Cruises’ new flagship, the MSC Fantasia, has been christened in Naples, Italy. The event featured internationally acclaimed artists with Neapolitan origins — Renzo Arbore and the Orchestra Italiana, singer/songwriter Lucio Dalla, and musician Pino Daniele, who will perform in a specially created high-tech arena. In addition, Sophia Loren, an Oscar-winning actress and ambassador for Naples and Italy, cut the ceremonial ribbon that released a bottle of champagne to break across the bow of the new ship.
